Make: Woven twig wands

Some twigs, wool and a blunt needle are the only things needed for this engaging woodland craft project.

An adventure is an essential beginning as first, forked twigs and branches must be collected from the garden or a walk in the woods. Any damp branches are left in a warm place indoors to dry out. Lichen can be cleaned off, but provides interesting texture and helps to keep the wool in place. Experiments with patterns and colours can be made in the weaves. A unique, personal wishing-wand is the result.
