Festive Orange Pomanders

Not only do these festive orange decorations look beautiful hanging in the home, the combination of the citrus and spices give off a warming Christmas smell. The pomanders are made by poking holes in an orange, using a knitting needle. Then cloves are inserted in the holes- leaving space for a ribbon to cross around the orange so it can be hung.
These pomanders can be treated so that they last for years.  Four drops of sandlewood oil are mixed with 2 tsps of mixed spice to make a paste. This paste is then rubbed into the orange.
The pomander is placed inside a paper bag and left in a dry place for 3-4 weeks to cure. Once the fruit looks to have shrunk and sounds hollow, it is ready.

Pine Cone Wreath

This beautiful pine cone wreath is made by using various different sized pine cones, attached to stub wire, and gently pushed into a ring of floristry foam. White pearlescent beads have been glued to the center of some of the cones to give the wreath a more luxurious look. A pretty ribbon is then attached to the foam and tied in a bow to hang.

Winter Vegetable Napkins

Embroidered napkin designs inspired by seasonal produce.

The season of hearty beef stews and warming winter veg casseroles is upon us. These fun napkin designs reflect those cosy family meals and bring a hint of the winter garden inside. There are four beautifully textured vegetable designs to choose from: carrot, turnip, leek and cauliflower. The designs could also be used to create a matching tablecloth, as they could be repeated to edge the cloth or added to make a pattern at each of the corners. The veg could even be used to decorate or update a table runner
